A unique tripartite initiative of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, Lockheed Martin and Tata Trusts, IIGP 2.0 identifies and supports compelling S&T based innovations through the stages of Ideation and Innovation. IIGP 2.0 is complemented by several implementation partners; FICCI, IUSSTF, CIIE at IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Bombay and Tata Center for Technology and Design at MIT. 
 
IIGP 2.0 supports industrial and social innovations through 2 annual parallel challenges:
 
    1. University Challenge: Open to individual students/teams across universities in India

 

  • Open Innovation Challenge: Open to the technology community at large

KSUM’s international women’s day celebrations : Women Tech makers Cochin on March 10th & Rails Girl Kochi on March 11th.

We KSUM celebrating International Women’s Day by throwing a big celebration for women in the tech communities in Kochi. Once a year, Google Women TechMakers, Rails Girls and other women in tech organizations get together for one big bash. You don’t want to miss this unique networking event!

1. WomenTechMakers Cochin is hosting the IWD’18 as a part of International Women’s Day celebration on March 10, 2018, at KTIZ.

Google Women TechMakers Cochin Chapter is hosting IWD’18 to celebrate International Women’s Day. We invite all genders to join us on March 10th at the Maker Village, KITZ to celebrate and support the diversity in the technological industry. 2. Rails Girls Workshop is a global movement/event organized across the world to encourage more girls to choose and stay in a career of software development. Rails is a good choice for them as its a full stack framework and it allows the students to experience a-z of web development and have a functioning web application. Rails Girls Kochi is organized by Kerala Ruby User Group and Student Developer Society.

Rails Girls workshop are organized with a more 1-2-1 approach where for a team of 3 or 4 students will have a coach (who is an experienced professional). The coach will then take the students through the syllabus. This approach ensures that the students get the full benefit of the professional’s experience.

Shri Rahul Gandhi visits Kerala Technology Innovation Zone and Fablab

Shri Rahul Gandhi,  Vice-President of the Indian National Congress party and the Chairperson of the Indian Youth Congress and the National Students Union of India visited Kerala Technology Innovation Zone and Fablab Kochi today along with Senior Leaders of Congress namely Shri V M Sudheeran, Shri Ramesh Chennithala, Hon’ble Home Minister, Government of Kerala , Shri Hibi Eden and Shri Benny Bahannan in the presence of Shri P H Kurien IAS, Prl Secretary, Industries & IT, Government of Kerala, Shri Jayasankar Prasad C, CEO, Kerala Startup Mission and Shri Pranav Kumar Suresh, CEO, Startup Village.
