VR has proved to be a breakthrough technology for a variety of industries to improve their customer experience. This interactive computer-generated experience taking place within a simulated environment, holds enormous potential to change the future for a number of fields, including the world of retail. However, in the absence of reliable instructions supported with experience, those who want to try out this technology are still hesitant to move forward with it.
BuildNext is a Kerala based start-up working on elevating the customer experience in construction industry using technology. Its experience centres are Virtual Reality-enabled, and it is one of the first commercial applications of VR outside of gaming sector.
The 12th edition of FAYA: 80 Kochi, Exploring Virtual Reality: Conversance with VR-enabled E-commerce, would be an experience sharing platform where the audience could learn from the account of BuildNext’s journey with VR. Mr. Gopikrishnan V is the founder of the internet based building material procurement platform, BuildNext. He graduated B.Arch (Hons.) from IIT Kharagpur, winning the presitigious ‘B.C. Roy Gold Medal’ for the Best Outgoing Student. He further went on to do his post-graduation from IIM Bangalore. He is a registered architect with the Council of Architecture, India, and a LEED accredited professional.Registration
